Just a Little About Me...

If you’re interested in learning a little more about me, then you’ve come to the right place!

Putting it simply, I’m someone with a fun and easygoing personality…and I like to think I’ve got a pretty great sense of humour. However, despite my laid-back approach, I do take my job very seriously and maintain a high level of professionalism.

I am originally from a small country town called Melbourne, but my wife and I made the decision to move to the beautiful Whitsundays 23 years ago. It’s an incredible place to live and I feel beyond fortunate to call it home.

Living in the Whitsundays, you can’t help but develop a passion for the islands and the Great Barrier Reef. I’m a certified scuba diving instructor and a regular contender in the Airlie Beach twilight sailing races. I’ve also sailed in the Hamilton Island Race Week and the Airlie Beach Race Week sailing regattas for several years. In fact, I was lucky enough to be part of the winning crew aboard the yacht Kameruka in the 25th Airlie Beach Race Week.

Besides all that, I’m also a licensed Real Estate Agent and a qualified property Auctioneer.

One of the highlights of my year is hosting the Whitsunday Dance Connection annual concerts. It’s a fantastic local dance school where all three of my daughters have attended. I’ve been hosting this event for the past 15 years and it’s quite a big production with over 250 students. It’s a great opportunity for me to share my world-class Dad jokes and watch my girls grow up on stage.

I’m genuinely passionate about the Whitsundays, and even if you’re not a local, I’d be more than happy to provide you with all the information you need to make your wedding day a smashing success!

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit and congratulations of your upcoming wedding! It”s definitely an exciting time, but can also feel quite overwhelming and choosing the right services can be an adventure in itself. So when deciding who to choose, I absolutely encourage giving them a call! You need to feel that you can trust them and that they’re the right fit for your wedding, which is one of the most important days of your life.

Maybe you’re just in the research phase, exploring options and costs. Perhaps, after just 5 minutes of chatting with me, you’ll feel comfortable and happy to have me as your celebrant. Or, you might think I’m not your cup of tea and wouldn’t want me around on your special day (the first option definitely makes for a better ceremony!)

Please feel free to email or call me at anytime! Or if you prefer, please connect with me on Instagram or Facebook.

I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to connect with you, and I’m thrilled at the possibility of being chosen as your marriage celebrant.

My Community Work

I am a very active member of our local community donating my time to many events and fundraisers. I have hosted the Whitsunday Reef Festival comedy gala and I have also been a committee member and host of the Queensland Cancer Council’s, Whitsundays Relay for Life. You may have heard me on the microphone during the Whitsunday Running Festival and the inaugural Run The Great Whitsunday endurance event.

I have also volunteered as an auctioneer for the Variety Club and their “Old Bags Lunch”, Dignity Zambia, the Tiny Homes Project and a few years for Ronald McDonald House charity. I have hosted the Greatest Morning Tea, The Cook Off and the prestigious Ray White Whitsunday Ball, which has raised much needed funds for our local community. For a few years, I have also had the privilege of hosting the Whitsunday Weddings and Honeymoon Expos. I am very fortunate to be entrusted with these roles and I strive to input humour and make these events entertaining and memorable.
