Here's a Little About Me

" I have a fun & easy going personality and have what I think is a great sense of humour. Even with my relaxed approach I am extremely professional in what I do".

Originally from a small country town called Melbourne, Paul along with his wife Zoe, relocated to the beautiful Whitsundays about 23 years ago.

"People come here for a holiday & I am so lucky to live here!"

The allure & beauty of the Whitsunday Islands and Airlie Beach, being the mainland gateway to one of the best aquatic playgrounds in the world, was the deciding factor to move to this popular tourism destination.

"Did I mention the temperature is also a bit warmer here in winter than Melbourne?"

You really couldn't live in the Whitsundays without having a passion for the islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Paul is a qualified scuba diving instructor and a regular competitor in the Airlie Beach twilight sailing races. For numerous years Paul has sailed in Hamilton Island Race week and the Airlie Beach Race week sailing regattas.

" I was fortunate enough to be a part of the winning crew aboard the yacht Kameruka in the 25th Airlie Beach race week sailing regatta!."

Paul is also a licensed Real Estate agent and qualified property Auctioneer.

One of the real highlights of Paul's year is hosting the Whitsunday Dance Connection annual concerts.s is a great local dance school that my 3 daughters have attended and I've hosted this event for the past 10 years. The concerts consist of over 250 students and it is quite a big production. I am extremely lucky to be involved, as I have the advantage of seeing my girls grow up on stage and it's a great opportunity for me to get in those "Dad jokes!"

I am genuinely passionate about the Whitsundays and even though you may not live locally, I am more than happy to assist in providing you with as much information that you need to make your wedding day a success.

"Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. It can be quite a daunting but exciting time in your life when you’re making preparations for your wedding day.

The choice of all the different services and satisfying yourself as to who will be best can be an adventure in itself. Every website will tell you that they’re good, even me!. Ever seen a website with bad testimonials?

When weighing up who to use, it is important to call them. You need to feel that you can trust them and they are the right people for your wedding.
Remember this is one of the most important days in your life.

Maybe at this stage you’re only researching and looking at options & costs.

You may feel that after 5 minutes of talking with me, you’re happy & feel comfortable for me to be your celebrant. You might also think I'm a total loser and I'd be the last person you’d want hanging around you and your family/friends on your special day.

The first option definately makes for a better ceremony! Please feel free to email or call me anytime.

I appreciate the opportunity to chat with you and I am very excited to potentially be chosen as your marriage celebrant.

I am a very active member of our local community donating my time to many events and fundraisers as some of the images below show. I have hosted the Whitsunday Reef Festival comedy gala and yes, that's me in the inflatable fat suit! I have been a committee member and host of the Queensland Cancer Council's, Whitsundays Relay for Life. You may have heard me on the microphone during the Whitsunday Running Festival and the inaugural Run The Great Whitsunday endurance event.

I have also volunteered as an auctioneer for the Variety Club and their "Old Bags Lunch", Dignity Zambia, the Tiny Homes Project and a few years for Ronald McDonald House charity. I have hosted the Greatest Morning Tea, The Cook Off and the prestigious Ray White Whitsunday Ball, which has raised much needed funds for our local community. For a few years, I have also had the priviledge of hosting the Whitsunday Weddings and Honeymoon Expos. I am very fortunate to be entrusted with these roles and I strive to input humour and make these events entertaining and memorable.
